Old Man McGregor was the terror of the neighbourhood. Kids
stayed away from his corner, for fear of bills for ruined gardens. Adults hated
him since any attempt to do anything, from apartments to a new park bench, he’d
block it with legal arguments and disagreeable ‘negotiations’.
Sally grew up with this, but she knew there had to be
something that had caused this, something in his past that had turned him into
such a horrible old man. So, she worked hard, and eventually she discovered
time travel.
And found out McGregor was just as disagreeable as a young
man.
