Even Handed Negotiation

They woke me up with lots of cold water.

As soon as I was conscious, I tested the ropes holding me down, but they were still tight.

“Again, where plans?” asked the guard. I shrugged, as best I could with my arms tied. He shouted something in his native tongue, and then his offsider brought a hammer down on my hand.

They seemed confused when I didn’t react, to it or the next couple of shots. Then I heard on their radio someone mention my nerve damage.

I then acted really scared when they began to attack my dead hand.
