Framed



Even for abstract art, it seemed obtuse, just a few black squiggles on a white background. And yet, it was the most secure, most guarded work in her mansion.

Thus, it was reasoned by my associates, there must be something extremely valuable either behind it or, more likely, inside the frame.

I was sceptical, but they were right about the Finley score, so I went along with it. Fifteen weeks of planning, all for a heist that was over in thirty-seven seconds.

Upon breaking open the frame, they were disappointed.

I guess they didn’t know about the daughter dying young…
