By the time the message arrived, all I could make out was
that a “Qu..tet of Assa…ns” had been hired by my brother to kill me.
The first one was easy, he thought he could surprise me by
swinging down from a balcony. Did not work.
The second one tried to poison me. But Death Eater Blossom
has such a distinctive smell.
The third and final were a duo, they proved quite
challenging in combat, but I defeated them.
It was the moment when I wondered if it was ‘quintet’ not ‘quartet’
that the fifth’s blade ran through my back.
