I performed the final part of the incantation, and a robed
figure appeared before it flickered and became a cute redhead in black leather.
“So, what are you after?”
“Nothing fancy, just the usual fame and fortune.”
The figure sighed.
“The modern usual. Fine… Still, you need to give up loved
ones.”
“You can take my parents.”
She stared at me.
“You don’t love anyone but yourself.”
“Well… How about the other Mes? In other timelines? Can you
take them?”
She paused.
“Interesting, let’s see… Oh, sorry, one them beat you to it.”
she said, as chains formed around me.
