It launched with much fanfare, dawning a new age in human communication
and a million other platitudes. It took orbit and began to do as promised,
creating a worldwide wifi network, removing every dead spot and unreasonable
location, leaving no-one without access.
Of course, the secondary mission, the one hidden from almost
everyone, was less positive, in fact it was the exact opposite, as with one
signal from below, it would unleash an EMP pulse to kill every possible wifi
network, remove all wireless communication from the globe. As a precaution.
Turns out, the signal could come from above, too…
