A Lonely Ratio

There are not, as some have claimed and others have hoped, an infinite number of universes. There are, in fact, surprisingly few of them, only a few trillion or so.

Most are barren, just energy spread thinly across the empty void of nothingness.

A few billion have life, at least life that is comprehendible.

A few million have intelligent life, that can actually comprehend.

A few hundred have humans, on this planet, in this part of the universe.

A few dozen have me.

Only one has you.

A lonely ratio, to be sure, but given the result, I’ll take it.
