Breaking Chains



“The Title of Protector has been passed down from Protector to Son for many Generations to Protect Us All.”

That’s the quote. That’s the bit that ended up doing in my former boss.

Don’t get me wrong, as a bright-eyed loyal henchman, I totally bought his thinking too. You read that, of course you’re going to think that by ensuring the Protector only has a daughter, you can win.

How was he supposed to know that was just descriptive, not predictive, that that was just how it had happened for a while, and that Protector to Daughter worked just fine?
