Like A House On Fire



Joan thought she was her namesake of Arc maybe half the time. The other half, she didn’t think about it.

Neil on the other hand, he knew who he was all the time. And that was someone who was fine, he shouldn’t have been locked up here. The fires just happened, spontaneous combustion and all that.

Their rooms were on separate ends of the facility. But the clerk moved them closer because she liked the joke of them being side by side.

The only reason she didn’t die burnt on the stake was that Joan and Neil couldn’t find one.
